So the great online sex magazine Nerve asked me to contribute to their weekly dating advice column. Not because I’m the best comic book writer on my block (unverified) but because I’m a pit bull owner.
So read on if you’re curious as to what I have in common with your dog, what movies not to bring to a sure thing and what your old lady is thinking as you pound away at her.
Read it to believe it.

Can a Gastrointestinal hit man find romance in the big city? Or will love shit him out?
Find out on iFanboy as they add a new page of The Gastometrist every tuesday for the next two months.
Written by myself and beautifully illustrated by my long suffering partner in crime Tony Talbert. Consider The Gastometrist is a sci fi noir love letter for ex that broke your heart.

David Pirkola, a comics retailer in Grand Rapids Michigan, is in stable but critical condition after being shot during a robbery in his store.
The wonderful folks at iFanboy have set up a fund to help David with his medical bills as he was uninsured. As a person who spends a fair amount of time behind the counter of a comic book store, this is a very important cause to me. I hope that you will consider doing what you can to help our extended comics family.
You can contribute to the cause by clicking here.

I recently spent some time in Vietnam and was surprised to discover that X-men is a leading brand of shampoo and soap. In what appears to be an all out, above board bootleg operation the company responsible also sells X-teen and Dr. Men products.
Check out their awesome TV commercial.

In the better late than never category, I made a short little trailer to promote my graphic novel Continuity. Why promote a book that came out a year and a half ago? Because it’s still in print and available as a free download.

Writers Old Fashioned will have an artist alley table at the upcoming WonderCon this February 22-24. The authors of Continuity, First Moon, the Homeless Channel, Less Than Hero and Smoke and Guns will be on hand to discuss their work. We’ll also be debuting exclusive mini comics from the gang and previewing upcoming projects. So please stop on by and say hello.

Welcome to the Writers Old Fashioned website. After a year of getting together once or twice a month to talk comics and have a few drinks, our little group decided to stake out some space here on the internet to keep everyone up to date on our comic book projects, appearances, and general odds and ends.
Feel free to snoop around. Get to know our ever-growing ranks. We hope you make us part of your regular internet diet.
We’d also like to send out a very special thanks to web designer extraordinaire, Kate McMillan. She’s done a fantastic job putting together this site for us. (And she’s super nice to boot.)
