Although comics, and drawing them, have been a lifelong obsession for Emily it wasn't until recently she discovered that she had to MAKE comics to MAKE IT in comics. She just self-published her very first comic called, Brazilianoir, winner of a 2009 Stumptown Trophy Award. She is now working on her second book, with her fiancé Nicholas Shahan, called Miner's Mutiny; about the California Gold Rush due out in 2009. Plus other projects in the works, keep your eyes peeled!

Emily Stackhouse is a firm believer that the world of comics is open to everyone. She also believes that there should be as much love and support in this industry as there is spandex and cleavage. Dubbing this theory "The Brotherhood of Comics", she feels that we must all come together for the thing we live and die for: Graphica. Whether it's her collection of Fleer Ultra X-men card decks or the highest of high-brow graphic novels, it's got a place in her heart.
